Job Overview

C&S Vending Company is hiring a full-time Vending Service Technician Monday through Friday with a 7:00am start time. The role requires driving a company vehicle to service customers in the MN Twin Cities metro area. The Vending Service Technician is the unsung hero who ensures that customers’ favorite snacks, beverages, and other products are readily available at the push of a button.

Vending Service Technician repairs and maintains micro‑market kiosks, coolers, and automated vending equipment, including food, snack, beverage, and coffee machines. The technician responds promptly to service calls, diagnoses electrical and mechanical malfunctions, and performs preventative maintenance to ensure high machine functionality and cleanliness. Key responsibilities include driving to client locations, providing excellent customer service, communicating effectively with customers and coworkers, and using hand and power tools to repair parts.

The position requires knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems to diagnose and fix issues efficiently; strong problem‑solving skills are essential to address the myriad issues that can arise, ranging from coin jams to refrigeration failures. Technicians must meticulously inspect and test machines to identify problems accurately, troubleshoot malfunctions, and implement appropriate solutions, ensuring optimal functionality. Attention to detail is vital.

Modern vending machines are equipped with advanced features such as cashless payment options, remote monitoring systems, and interactive displays. The technician must be able to adapt to new technologies and acquire the necessary skills to maintain and repair these sophisticated machines effectively.

The company offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience and skills. This salaried position can work up to 45 hours per week and includes excellent benefits: medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospitalization insurance, company‑paid life insurance, PTO (vacation/personal/sick and safe time), paid holidays, and a 401(k) match.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
• Driving: 5‑year driving experience preferred.
• Licenses: Valid non‑CDL Class D driver's license with a clean driving record for the last three years.
• Age: 21+ years.
• Experience: Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing vending machines and coffee units preferred; equipment repair is required.

  Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and refrigeration; ability to use mechanical equipment and hand tools such as drills. Possess a diverse skill set and technical proficiency.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis and perform all physical requirements consistently.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem‑solving abilities, customer service, communication, and the ability to work independently.
• Background Screening: Ability to pass a DOT physical exam: clean criminal and good credit history.

• This is a mobile role, requiring driving to various locations throughout the day.
• Work may occur indoors or outdoors, in high‑traffic or warehouse environments.
• Mandatory on‑call rotation for emergency repairs on nights and weekends.
