Responsibilities:

The quality specialist will contribute and lead quality improvement priorities at the inpatient hospital. The position would also be responsible to identify and measure quality metrics, accreditation readiness, and synthesize patient experience results.

  • Identifies areas for effective development, implementation, and monitoring of the inpatient quality program.
  • Contributes quality improvement initiatives, including data identification, collection, analysis and reporting of quality metrics.
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing patient safety events including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and infection control.
  • Provides ongoing education and training to new and current employees regarding the quality program, processes, and outcomes.
  • Conducts annual needs assessment which utilizes data analysis, personal interviews, questionnaires, and surveys to identify the health and health‑related needs of patients and the service/target areas in conjunction with hospital leadership.
  • Produces reports presenting identified quality indicators, including flow charts, graphs and diagrams for Medical Executive Committee, Safety and Risk Committee, Board of Governors, and other senior leadership activities.
  • Targets identified indicators with quality improvement strategies and track changes over time to ensure strategies have been effective.
  • With the goal of improving patient outcomes and operating performance, works collaboratively to develop and share best practices for improving performance in quality, safety, patient experience, value, and efficiency.
  • Responsible for analysis and reporting of measures as required by accrediting and regulatory bodies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Knowledge and skills in areas of quality, risk management, and infection control.
  • Experience in quality improvement and data collection and analysis.
  • Background knowledge in healthcare quality initiatives, knowledge of psychiatric care preferred.
Compensation:

Compensation for this role ranges from $77,800-$103,000 annually depending on education and experience. We are committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation. An individual’s pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization.
