As a key player in our dynamic environment, you will

• Monitor and support patients in their daily functioning and mental health management.
• Create a safe and therapeutic environment while utilizing effective communication and de‑escalation techniques.
• Facilitate engaging psycho educational groups and collaborate with a dynamic team to enhance patient care.

This role is full time October‑June and then you can enjoy the summer off!

What you bring:

• Education: High school diploma required;
  Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of knowledge in mental health through academic education or equivalent experience. Preferred 6 months of previous experience in a mental health setting.
• Skills:
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to make sound judgment calls in high‑pressure situations.
  • Proficient in multitasking, time management, and prioritization.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Crisis Management: Ability to react quickly and calmly, employing de‑escalation techniques and least restrictive interventions.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Joint Commission standards for restraint and seclusion use.
• Professionalism: Display a consistent professional attitude and commitment to confidentiality, while being open to new ideas and approaches.
• Adaptability: Ability to smoothly transition between diverse tasks and make timely decisions in stressful circumstances.
• Quality Focus: A proactive approach to improving care quality, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness in all responsibilities.

Pay range for this position is $19.50 to $25 depending on education and experience.

An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions.
