JOB TITLE: CSFP Site Coordinator

HOURS: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
PAY: $23.00/hr
LOCATION: Hybrid; 3‑4 days in office
POSITION SUMMARYThe Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a federal monthly food box program for older adults 60+ who meet income requirements. Second Harvest Heartland administers CSFP across MN counties to ensure seniors receive the food support they need every month. The CSFP Site Coordinator oversees a caseload of assigned CSFP sites to ensure proper program administration, delivers high‑quality customer service, and maintains accurate, timely data processing and record‑keeping.
DATAENTRY AND RECORD KEEPING
- Accurately and efficiently complete and process participant certifications, re‑certifications, and monthly issuance logs, including scanning and filing.
- Work with internal staff, external agencies, and participants to facilitate timely, organized program implementation and referrals.
- Provide support and training to Site Partners, answer questions, and act as backup for site volunteers during visits.
- Communicate with partner agencies and customers by phone and email in a timely and professional manner to resolve issues.
- Identify outreach and partnership opportunities, discussing program benefits and options.
- Greet, train, supervise, and direct volunteers in a positive, safe, supportive environment.
- Complete all aspects of CSFP product distribution, including other product distribution processes and day‑to‑day department functions.
- Participate in physical inventories, staff meetings, trainings, warehouse organization, and area cleaning as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

- High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Minimum 1‑year experience in data entry and administrative work.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English; bilingual abilities preferred (Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Somali, etc.).
- Exceptional customer service skills to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Office 365; ability to learn additional software.
- Recognize and respond to situations requiring follow‑up action.
- Previous volunteer management experience preferred.
- Work efficiently, enthusiastically, and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational, detail‑oriented, and numerical skills; initiate time‑management techniques to meet deadlines.
- Plan, manage, and follow through on multiple tasks and projects.
- Valid MN driver’s license, good driving record, current auto insurance, and dependable transportation for site visits and distributions.
- Walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
- Steady movement, including stooping, bending, and twisting.
- Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
- Operating motor vehicle and using hand tools.
- Performing tasks at varying heights and temperatures.
- Maintaining visual, hearing, and verbal communication abilities.
- Work in wet/humid environments, possible exposure to vibration and noise.
- Use of safety equipment, handling sharp tools, and exposure to chemical or fuel fumes.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pumps, and power tools.
- Work in high places, confined areas, and under varied lighting conditions.
