Overview
The Brooklyn Bridge Alliance for Youth (BBAY) is a partnership of local cities, school districts, Hennepin County, and higher education institutions working together to improve youth outcomes.
BBAY is seeking a Latino Diaspora Affinity Group Leader to facilitate a virtual identity-based space for Latino/a/x youth connected to Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center. The facilitator will lead culturally responsive sessions, support youth-led activities, and create a safe, welcoming environment for approximately 20–25 participants while exploring identity, culture, and belonging within the Latino diaspora.
This part-time, grant-funded position runs March–May and includes evening and weekend sessions.
ResponsibilitiesFacilitate a virtual identity-based space for Latino/a/x youth connected to Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center; lead culturally responsive sessions; support youth-led activities; create a safe, welcoming environment for approximately 20–25 participants while exploring identity, culture, and belonging within the Latino diaspora.
Qualifications- College education or equivalent experience;
- Three (3) years of experience facilitating youth or community programming with one-on-one youth or family support;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate conversations about identity, culture, and lived experiences.
