Float Teacher, Assistant Teacher, or Aide

We are always looking for just the right fit! We want people who want to be educators during a child's most formative years. The owner and administration team are on site supporting teachers from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. We are accepting applications for a Full‑Time Float Teacher, Assistant Teacher, or Aide of all levels for our children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old.

A Resource Teacher acts as a float who supports all classrooms, covering teacher vacations or helping with lunch break coverages. We use a team‑teaching approach where everyone:

• Develops lesson plans
• Meets the individual's needs of the children
• Is involved in parent communication
• Participates in staff and training meetings
• Designs an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
• Interacts with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Presents expectations appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
• Plans and implements activities that develop self‑esteem and social skills
• Communicates appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
• Builds teamwork
• Uses assessment tools
• Commits to continuing education

• AA or CDA with two years experience
• OR B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field and one year experience
• OR a similar mix of education and experience

• 12 post‑secondary credits in early childhood development or a related field
• Or B.S., in any field
• Experience working with children ages 6 weeks‑6 years
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 18 years of age

• Experience with 6 weeks to 6 years preferred, not required
