Electrical Estimator; Commercial

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background in commercial construction projects. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical systems, ensuring projects are bid profitably and in alignment with company objectives. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience estimating commercial electrical work including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems.

Valid Maryland Journeyman or Master Electrician License required

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs from construction drawings and specifications for commercial electrical projects.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and addenda to determine scope of work.
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to enhance project profitability.
• Attend pre‑bid meetings and site visits as required.
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information.
• Prepare and submit formal bid proposals within required deadlines.
• Assist with project handoff to operations team upon award.
