The Opportunity
Looking for a summer role where you still get to teach - but without grading, lesson planning at night, or school-year pressure? Join us as a Summer Lead Instructor and spend your summer leading hands‑on learning. Lead Instructors can choose the type of camp program they lead based on their preferred camper age group (Kindergarten through 8th grade) and their interests, with options ranging from LEGO and hands‑on engineering for younger campers to STEM, creative arts, and computer science programs for older students.
WhatYou’ll Do
This role is ideal for classroom teachers and educators who love working with kids and want a fun, meaningful summer experience. You’ll teach engaging, project‑based STEAM lessons using fully provided curriculum and materials
, so there’s no planning outside of camp hours. Your focus is on bringing the lessons to life, supporting campers, and creating an energetic, positive classroom environment.
As the Lead Instructor, you may also guide and support a small team of instructors – typically college students or fellow educators – who are working in your program. You are the main point of contact for your specific camp program, working in partnership with the on‑site camp director at the host school. You’ll help ensure the program runs smoothly each day, maintain clear communication with staff, and support a safe, inclusive, and joyful camp experience.
Training& Support
No advanced STEAM or tech background is required. We provide thorough training and ongoing support – we’re looking for strong educators who are comfortable leading a group, excited to learn, and ready to make learning fun in a hands‑on setting.
