Duties
- Provide accurate and reliable information on administrative functions for the park and the division assigned. Interacts effectively with peers and supervisors on administrative matters.
- Collect data for park's operating budget and various programs in the admin and maintenance divisions and set up controls to monitor expenses and recommend adjustments if necessary.
- Serve as advisor on procedures for procurement of goods and services and make purchases within delegated authority.
- Provide human resources assistance to park/division as needed and serve as primary/divisional timekeeper. Work with staff on Quick Time matters to resolve any issues that may occur.
- Establish and maintain office files, compose correspondence on a variety of issues, distribute mail, pay bills, and maintain supplies for the staff.
Entry on Duty and Pay The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April/May to October/November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty:
April/May 2026. Pay scale: $27.38 - $37.04 per hour depending on specific site.
Conditions of employment

- Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
- All selected applicants must participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
- Operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You must also submit required driving records.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Age and education requirements as specified (minimum age and high school or equivalent education or vocational training).
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Credit will be given for qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, provide hours worked per week; for others, indicate full-time or part-time hours on the resume.
Selective Factor:
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute (OA work). Applicants must submit supporting documentation dated within the past 3 years.
Experience (GS-07 level):
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope to the GS-06 level, including administrative support, budgeting, acquisition, property management, human resources, and other administrative services. Volunteer experience is creditable. ICTAP/CTAP considerations apply for eligible Federal employees.
Education:
No substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement.
