Plumbing Specialist

Overview

South Dakota State University seeks a Plumbing Specialist to support campus facilities in Brookings, South Dakota. The role involves maintenance, installations, remodels, and utility locates across university buildings and research stations.

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements of plumbing, heating, cooling, water, and sewer systems.
• Complete remodel projects, new installations, and utility locates.
• Respond to building plumbing or utility system problems on a rotating on‑call basis.

• South Dakota Journeyman’s Plumbing License.
• Valid South Dakota driver’s license.
• Experience with commercial plumbing systems, new installations, remodels, and system repairs.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in confined areas, and respond to emergencies after hours.
