We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Multifamily Residential Maintenance Technician to join our team in Brookhaven, GA. This energetic role is vital in maintaining the comfort, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our residential communities. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks across our multifamily properties, ensuring that all facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.
Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help create an inviting environment for residents and uphold the high standards of our community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, using schematics and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose faults accurately.
- Perform welding, residential painting, and other carpentry tasks to maintain property aesthetics and structural integrity.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders and maintenance history.
- Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and electrical diagrams to facilitate repairs and upgrades.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards are met while delivering quality results.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident repair requests promptly and professionally.
- Support team leadership by supervising or mentoring junior technicians when needed.
- Proven experience in facilities or residential maintenance, ideally within multifamily or manufacturing environments.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, wiring, circuit testing, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Mechanical knowledge including plumbing, HVAC systems, welding techniques, and general carpentry skills such as painting and drywall repair.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software for work order management.
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and residents.
