Job Description

To provide senior coordination and implementation support to ongoing fundraising programs, events and activities. This may include working with, leading and coordinating staff, volunteers, sponsors, donors, vendors, etc. with emphasis on increased revenue, improved operations, and in support of Children’s mission and values. To proactively support the efforts that ensures delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Children’s.

Experience
  • Prior professional experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event/program coordination
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fundraising or non‑profit
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing Management, or related field
Certification Summary

  • Ability to represent Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in a mature and professional manner among trustees, corporate sponsors, volunteers, donors, and executives
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self‑starter with ability to make decisions independently
  • Ability to handle stress and pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to travel through expanded Atlanta metropolitan area
  • Must provide reliable transportation
  • Ability to work with others, including all levels of volunteers, sponsors, and donors
  • Expert knowledge of event logistics with ability to think and react independently
  • Ability to understand financial reports and manage budgets
  • Skilled at conflict resolution, problem‑solving, negotiation, and diplomacy
Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the direct implementation and development of the department’s largest activities and programs, which result in substantial fundraising dollars, cultivation of important relationships, and/or expanded community awareness of the institution.
  • May participate in hiring and managing interns within the team as needed.
  • Serves as leader on team in support of annual goals and implements action plans in assigned areas which maximize Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta fundraising support.
  • Represents Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta appropriately at miscellaneous community functions to network and nurture new and existing relationships.
  • Manage program budget to help achieve annual revenue and other targets in areas of responsibility while minimizing cost to raise a dollar.
  • Maintains close association with and expert knowledge of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta; initiates cross‑team collaborations.
  • Responsible for administrative support and operational reporting for assigned programs, while maintaining up‑to‑date records via Raiser’s Edge.
  • May participate in communicating with peers in other organizations to generate new fundraising ideas.
  • Participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services provided and events, activities, and programs produced.
  • Understands and complies with infection control, safety, and OSHA procedures and regulations, while meeting all in‑service requirements as outlined in Personnel Policy 8312‑702‑92.
