Works as liaison between supply chain and clinical end users. Works closely with value analysis councils to find utilization management and standardization opportunities.
Experience- Three years of related experience
- One year of experience in managing and supervising staff
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- No professional certifications required
Skills And Abilities
- Proven partnering skills to establish and maintain strong, positive working relationships with internal and external customers and within the department
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and meet critical timelines with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service orientation, including consistent and timely follow-up on issues and communications
- Ability to inspire confidence, diffuse tension, and act as a change agent
- Evaluates identified supply variation for clinical justifications and makes recommendations on standardization practices where applicable.
- Initiates/leads conversations with physicians and clinical staff around standardization.
- Leads evidence-based product evaluation process.
- Provides guidance and oversight during product evaluation process.
- Provides clinical guidance on substitutions during backorder situations.
- Trains value analysis committee members to manage, participate in, and collect data for product evaluations.
- Assist Supervisor and/or Manager with development of staff by: being available to teammates, acting as a resource to help complete complicated/complex tasks, providing on the job training to team, and seeking out opportunities to become actively involved in staff workflow and development.
- Provide Supervisor and/or Manager feedback on staff performance, educational needs, and workflow status.
