Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Wisconsin requiring at least 2 years of adult ED experience and a current WI or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in an Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Adult patient population in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Required to work 19:00-07:30 night shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- May be required to float within skill set onsite or to nearby sites within 40 miles
- Uses Epic electronic medical record system
- Responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care to adult patients
- Expected to float to other departments or locations as needed based on staffing requirements
- Team-oriented environment with support for travelers
- Not required to have COVID-19 vaccination as of July 1, 2023
- Local candidates are accepted but may receive a reduced rate based on the facility's radius rule
- Holiday coverage is required as part of the work schedule
- Two professional references and skills checklist are required for consideration
- Active WI or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent full-time adult emergency department RN experience
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Nursys license verification must be provided within 30 days prior to start
- Current TNCC certification renewed every 4 years
- NIH Stroke Scale certification with required updates per guidelines
- MOAB or CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification preferred; must be 8-hour course if obtained
- Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address (no international addresses)
- Copy of Driver’s License required
