Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Wisconsin requiring at least 2 years of adult ED experience and a current WI or compact RN license.

• Work in an Emergency Department within a hospital setting
• Adult patient population in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Required to work 19:00-07:30 night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• May be required to float within skill set onsite or to nearby sites within 40 miles
• Uses Epic electronic medical record system
• Responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care to adult patients
• Expected to float to other departments or locations as needed based on staffing requirements
• Team-oriented environment with support for travelers
• Not required to have COVID-19 vaccination as of July 1, 2023
• Local candidates are accepted but may receive a reduced rate based on the facility's radius rule
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the work schedule
• Two professional references and skills checklist are required for consideration

• Active WI or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent full-time adult emergency department RN experience
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Nursys license verification must be provided within 30 days prior to start
• Current TNCC certification renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification with required updates per guidelines
• MOAB or CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification preferred; must be 8-hour course if obtained
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address (no international addresses)
• Copy of Driver’s License required
