Tax Manager

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state business, individual, and other related tax forms. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, providing tax guidance and planning, and contributing to research projects throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a commitment to client service, and the ability to mentor and develop staff.

What you will be doing:

• Preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns.
• Conducting tax planning and projections based on client needs.
• Researching tax issues and providing actionable recommendations.
• Consulting with clients to develop an understanding of their financial affairs and tax liabilities.
• Monitoring and applying changes in tax law through professional development activities.
• Answering client inquiries promptly via phone and email.
• Supervising and mentoring staff involved in tax return preparation.
• Evaluating team performance on client engagements.
• Recommending and implementing process improvements.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

What you must have:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• CPA certification required.
• A minimum of 5 busy seasons in tax preparation and review for individual and business tax returns.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with Thomson Reuters suite preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
