Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team in Bethel, Connecticut. In this role, you will support one of our sister companies by managing daily transactional accounting functions and contributing to the organization's financial efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial part in maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth accounting operations in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

- Maintain detailed and organized financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Reconcile accounts regularly to verify balances and identify discrepancies.

- Assist with month-end closing tasks, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.

- Utilize Quick Books Online to manage and monitor financial data effectively.

- Handle invoice processing, ensuring payments are issued and recorded properly.

- Support the implementation and improvement of accounting workflows.

- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and reporting.

- Address and resolve accounting issues and inquiries as they arise.

- Ensure adherence to industry-specific accounting standards and practices.

Requirements

- Proven experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency in Quick Books Online and other relevant accounting software.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-entity environment.

- Prior experience working in Construction
