Position Overview

The Configuration Technician is responsible for preparing IT equipment for deployment by performing pre-configuration, validation, and quality checks before devices are shipped to end users. Work is completed by following documented instructions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and proper device functionality. This is an entry-level role with opportunities for growth in the IT field.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow written instructions to provision and configure devices according to customer requirements.
• Perform basic kitting of equipment and prepare devices for deployment.
• Unbox, re-box, and process equipment for shipment.
• Clean, test, and inspect devices to ensure proper operation.
• Escalate technical or process issues to a supervisor when needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
• Complete all assigned tasks efficiently, accurately, and within established timelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience or relevant training preferred.
• Technical certifications are not required but may be pursued after hire.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, carrying, and moving equipment.
• Occasional use of basic tools and cleaning materials.
• Ability to read instructions, communicate clearly, and work at a computer.

Preferred Knowledge

• Basic understanding of Windows environments.
• Experience working with hardware peripherals.
• Ability to follow written directions and document work accurately.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Brook Park, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
