Job Description
The Pediatric Cardiovascular Nurse will provide care in a 26-bed Pediatric Cardiovascular Unit, specializing in postoperative, surgical, medical, and cardiac care within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The nurse will be responsible for supporting patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions.

• Monitor and assess patient status and report changes as necessary.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and care protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in a pediatric cardiovascular or similar unit.

• Current BLS and PALS certifications required.

• Ability to read telemetry strips is required; no tele/monitor techs are available on the unit.
