Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years PACU RN experience

• License: Active RN license required at submission

• Education: BSN not required

• Certifications (Required):

  • BLS Certification

  • BLS (AHA)

Unit Overview

• PACU supports higher-acuity ICU-level patients

• Patients may remain in PACU beyond standard recovery times due to bed availability and board as needed

• Fast-paced environment requiring strong assessment, monitoring, and critical-thinking skills
