Program / Project Manager
A large public healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support complex, direct-service programs within its Central Office. This role provides hands-on project-level support across multiple initiatives and works closely with internal departments, city agencies, and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
Provide project-level support for assigned programs and work streams within complex direct service initiatives
Support all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery
Develop and maintain project templates, tools, and trackers to monitor progress and deliverables
Collect, manage, and disseminate project data, metrics, and status updates
Monitor timelines and deliverables; proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate risks and issues
Serve as a point of contact for departments, city agencies, and contracted vendors
Assist with planning and conducting trainings, including development of training materials
Provide on-site support for project implementation and oversight
Offer policy and operational guidance and contribute to strategies that improve service delivery
Review and approve invoices and provide input on budgetary planning
Support coordination and oversight of external contractors and vendors
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years of program or project management experience
Experience managing multiple external contractors or vendors strongly preferred
Experience working with educational programs, community-based organizations, or social service providers preferred
Experience working with educators, administrators, case management staff, parents, and/or children preferred
Strong ability to work independently and lead change within a collaborative team environment
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, transparency, and accountability
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across organizations and stakeholders
Fluency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, preferred
NYC-area residency preferred
Please note that the salary range and/or hourly rate range of $62.00 - $72.00 is a good faith determination of potential base compensation offered to applicants at the time of this job advertisement and may be subject to modification in the future.
