Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily HR operations across a 150+ employee organization
- Drive recruitment efforts focused on blue-collar workforce hiring
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and retention initiatives
- Manage full-cycle benefits administration (medical, supplemental, 401k, PTO)
- Oversee Workers' Compensation claims and OSHA compliance/reporting
- Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies
- Manage unemployment claims and represent the organization when needed
- Interface with organized labor (union experience preferred)
- Lead safety training and occupational compliance programs
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations matters
- Bachelor's degree required
- 6+ years of progressive HR Generalist / HR Management experience
- Strong knowledge of NYS Workers' Compensation, OSHA, HIPAA, FMLA, and federal/state labor laws
- Ability to work independently without micromanagement
- Experience in a unionized environment preferred
