Adjunct Faculty English

Job Summary:

The English Program at Mercy University seeks part-time adjunct instructors to teach English composition to undergraduate students. Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching is required. Candidates may also be asked to provide assistance with program assessment and to attend select programmatic or professional development meetings. Successful candidates may be offered the opportunity to teach up to 3 section(s) per semester.

Please attach your current CV including a list of references, and a brief cover letter that outlines your qualifications, your experience teaching college-level courses, and your particular interest in Mercy University. English courses run in-person at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, and Bronx campuses, so please indicate in your cover letter which of these campuses you anticipate being available to teach at.

Education Requirements:

* Masters or Doctorate from an accredited institution in an appropriate academic discipline such as English Literature, Composition and Rhetoric, English Education, or a closely related field
