Position: Teacher Assistant - Bronx, New York
An opportunity is available for a full-time Certified Teacher Assistant to support elementary students in grades K-3 within two local elementary schools. This contract position commences as soon as possible and continues through June 26th. The role involves working closely with students demonstrating a range of behavioral needs, providing essential classroom support to foster their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist certified teachers in delivering instructional activities and classroom management
• Support students with varying behaviors, adapting approaches to meet individual needs
• Help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and monitoring student progress
• Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent, effective support for students

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Valid New York Teacher Assistant (TA) certification is required
• Prior experience working with children in elementary grades (K-3) preferred
• Candidates with current New York DOE fingerprint clearance are highly desirable
• Ability to handle diverse student behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
