An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Band 6 Childrens Nurse to join our existing, well‑established Community Childrens Nursing and Palliative Care Team.
The team provides a comprehensive service caring for babies, children and young people with a wide range of conditions including long‑term complex and acute care needs. The postholder will be a qualified, registered Childrens Nurse, ideally with recent paediatric community nursing experience. The postholder will need to have relevant experience with delivering care to children with acute and complex medical conditions.
This post requires flexibility, motivation, and the ability to work within an enthusiastic team as well as being able to adapt to provide care that meets the needs of all children and young people in a variety of settings. The postholder will be based at our North site in Bromsgrove, covering the North of Worcestershire, but may be asked to work county‑wide to meet service needs.
This is a full‑time post, but we would consider applicants looking for part time.
Main duties of the jobContribute to the assessment of needs, implement and evaluate programmes of care according to Children’s Nursing guidelines, reporting findings to senior team members as appropriate.
Work in an integrated way with MDT colleagues to ensure equity of care for children, young people and their families.
Participate in nursing/clinical audit. Maintain clinical records in accordance with Trust guidelines using systems such as Care Notes.
The post holder will need to have relevant experience with delivering care to children with acute and complex medical conditions.
