Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to operate, optimise, and continuously improve core security tools within a financial services environment, ensuring the protection of sensitive client data, transactions, and digital assets while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and optimise core financial security tools (SIEM, DLP, IAM, endpoint protection)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs and dashboards to measure detection rates, system resilience, and compliance
  • Support and maintain governance frameworks for AI in cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with FCA, PRA, GDPR, and emerging AI regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management to identify, track, and remediate threats across platforms and AI models
  • Collaborate with Risk and IT teams to maintain controls, support audit readiness, and strengthen operational resilience
  • Monitor and manage AI models and platforms for secure deployment, bias monitoring, and regulatory compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing performance metrics and implementing enhancements aligned with financial industry standards
Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services security operations (banking, insurance, asset management)
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, GDPR, PCI DSS, SOX)
  • Knowledge of AI risk management frameworks
  • Hands‑on experience with security tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Purview, AWS/Azure AI security services
  • Experience deploying, monitoring, and securing AI models in cybersecurity
  • Experience in zero‑trust network access (ZTNA) implementation
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights
