A Gas Planner job specification involves creating, managing, and optimizing schedules for gas system projects, maintenance, and operations, focusing on resource allocation (materials, people, equipment), budget, timeline adherence, safety (HSE), and utilizing specialized software (Primavera P6, SAP) to ensure efficient delivery, from conceptual design review and HAZOP studies to construction and turnaround planning, with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills essential for coordinating teams and stakeholders.

• Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project timelines, work orders, and maintenance schedules for gas networks, equipment, and turnarounds.
• Resource Management: Identify and allocate necessary materials, tools, personnel (contractors, internal teams), and external services.
• Technical Oversight: Review gas system designs, P&IDs, and specifications; provide technical input for system improvements and project execution.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSE regulations, conduct risk assessments (HAZOP), manage safety permits, and integrate safety into all plans.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare project reports, track progress, and communicate effectively with management, field teams, vendors, and clients.
• System Optimization: Troubleshoot planning systems, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to improve uptime and performance.
