Transport Driver

Overview

Blue Bell Creameries is seeking Transport Drivers for the Broken Arrow, OK facility.

• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Ability to read and follow written directions.
• Ability to read and follow a map.
• Must have the skills and emotional stability to handle a transport on interstate roadways as well as heavy city traffic on a daily basis.
• Physical stamina must be sufficient to do the daily task of hooking and unhooking a trailer, unloading transports, reloading when necessary, and other physical duties that may be assigned to the driver.
• Must be able to report to work as scheduled on any day – Midnight to 6 am, up to 14 hours per day. Must be able to work any or all 7 days of the week without restrictions.
• Must be able to stay overnight on the road for multiple days. A week away from the home terminal may be expected.
• Minor computer skills required to enter information into truck OBCs, as well as computer skills required to access the driver’s assignments.
• Ability to complete all DOT required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Must be neat and dressed in uniform daily.

Transport Drivers are subject to the Hours of Service Regulations of the United States Department of Transportation.

• At least 21 years old
• Valid Class A CDL
• Safe driving record with no more than two preventable collisions or moving violations in the past three years
• Reliable transportation to work
• Must pass a DOT Physical, Drug and Alcohol Screening, and a Road Skill Test
