This combined Framer / Carpenter / Finisher position is ideal for blue-collar professionals who are hands‑on, adaptable, and ready to perform all aspects of commercial drywall work. You will work directly with foremen and production managers to complete wall framing, drywall installation and finish work to company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities General Duties (Across All Tasks)- Report to work on time, with the appropriate tools and PPE.
- Follow all safety guidelines, OSHA requirements, and jobsite instructions.
- Communicate effectively with foremen, coworkers, and project supervisors.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and responsibly handle waste.
- Lay out and install metal stud framing for interior walls, ceilings, soffits, etc.
- Measure, cut, and install backing, door frames, trim and framing components.
- Ensure framing is plumb, level, and aligned with plans
. - Install and adjust blocking, openings, and special framing details.
- Cut and hang gypsum board or sheathing on framed structures.
- Insulate, seal, and ensure wall assemblies meet specifications.
- Apply drywall finishing materials to tape, mud, and sand joints (first coat and beyond).
- Ensure a smooth, production‑ready surface for paint and other finishes.
- Meet daily production goals and quality standards set by foremen and managers.
- Commercial drywall experience (framing and finish work preferred).
- Ability to follow blueprints, plans, and foreman direction.
- Comfortable performing physical work (ladders, lifts, bending, lifting, etc.).
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Toolbox proficiency — carrying and maintaining tools required for tasks.
- Willingness to learn and improve across framing, drywall and finishing skills.
