Responsible for repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, systems, pipes and devices; cleaning sanitary waste and grease lines; repairing domestic water lines; repairing outside water mains; and installing backflow prev enters/cross connection devices.
Essential Duties- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures and systems including water heaters, hot water boilers, circulating pumps, hot water and steam pipes, sewage ejection pumps, swimming pool piping, disposals, booster heaters, dishwashers, pumps, domestic water lines and outside water lines
- Clean sanitary waste and grease lines
- Install, test and repair backflow prev enters/cross connection devices
- Acts as a resource for custodial staff throughout the District by conducting training related to plumbing issues
- On call several times a year and respond to after-hours emergencies
- Backup snow removal
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a plumbing apprenticeship school
- Must maintain valid Colorado driver’s license and meet District auto insurability requirement
- Colorado journeyman plumbing license
- District asbestos training certifications required within 6 months after hire
- Colorado cross connections certification preferred; required within 1 year after hire
Salary range $31.84 - $47.02 per hour. Direct experience will be taken into consideration for the starting salary.
Work year: 253 contract days (Classified Calendar)
