Business Account ExecutiveAs a Business Account Executive
, you will be responsible for driving new business and selling services to both potential and existing business customers. As a hunter, you will generate your own sales leads through cold calls, door knocking, and other prospecting methods. This hybrid position requires daily travel within the assigned territory and covers the full sales cycle. You will be the main point of contact, selling our cutting‑edge fiber optic communication services to small and mid‑market businesses.
The ideal candidate has a track record of success in outside sales with experience in door knocking and lead development.
- Prospect and generate new business accounts through cold calls, door knocking, D2D, and other sales tactics.
- Creating and delivering compelling presentations to customers and stakeholders.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Own sales leads and opportunities from start to finish.
- Implement a sales plan to achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue quotas.
- Secure orders from existing and potential customers by visiting facilities or contacting by phone.
- Establish professional customer relationships with appropriate personnel.
- Provide lost‑business and activity/call reports on a weekly basis.
- Provide a territory sales forecast on a monthly basis.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage accounts and sales activity.
- Spend at least 85% of time working by visiting customers or potential customers.
- Travel to other Metronet markets as required to solicit and secure orders from potential or existing customers; duties may change to meet Metronet goals.
- Perform all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.
- Other job‑related duties as requested.
- 1-2 years of Business-to-Business Sales experience.
- Proven track record of generating new business and exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience in prospecting through cold calls and door knocking.
- Technical or telecommunications background a plus.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of principles and methods involved in showing, prompting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategies, tactics, product demonstrations, and sales techniques.
- Must complete and pass all courses offered by Metronet or pass proficiency tests.
- Available to travel for training or as needed.
