Job Summary

Responsible for meeting the sales goals for A New Leaf, Inc. Social Enterprise. This person must be friendly and outgoing, helpful and professional demeanor when making sales and upselling, as well as setting a professional example for the clients to follow. Possesses strong selling and merchandising skills. Requires attention to detail, catering to the customer’s preferences.

Description

The Sales Supervisor will expand sales to existing customers while creating new business. Duties include but are not limited to meeting monthly sales goals, attracting new business, supervising the Retail Garden Center staff, overseeing special events, creating attractive displays, assisting with the tracking and maintaining of inventory, and representing the A New Leaf, Inc. brand with honor and integrity. The goal is to provide high‑class customer service and to increase company growth and revenue through sales maximization.

Assists to ensure retail centers are fully stocked with seasonal inventory and ready for special events.

Essential Requirements
  • Have and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and a dependable vehicle at all times, and maintain automobile insurance coverage and eligibility to operate agency vehicles.
  • Physical capacities must include professional appearance, and bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on the schedules of persons served by and needs of A New Leaf, including but not limited to working scheduled weekends to water and spray plants.
  • Follow policies and procedures of A New Leaf, Inc.
  • Ensure all individuals served are safe in their working environment and program participation at all times.
  • Have the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, completing required documentation and reports.
  • Be able to work as a team and have a flexible mindset to achieve a desired balance between social service and entrepreneurial missions.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Supports the retail staff, job coaches, and our clients in an appropriate manner. Help identify and resolve issues related to sales goals, materials, locations and quality standards of the work performed by the clients.
  • Creates new business through selling seasonal products, Planting Bars, Poinsettias, Blooming Acres Shares, and other streams of revenue.
  • Create a monthly sales plan to ensure sales goals are met.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting customers’ sales and reporting patterns to the Department Director and Horticulture Manager.
  • Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers.
  • Assist with maintaining weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual sales reports; tracking best sellers and product needs to communicate to the Department Director and Horticulture Manager.
  • Assist in keeping retail stores aesthetically merchandised, creating an inviting environment for customers as well as potential donors.
  • Monitor local competitors.
  • Responsible for organizing product and storage areas to achieve efficiency for back stock and supplies.
  • Assist in executing visual signage calendar for retail locations.
  • Attend all necessary license/certification, in‑service training and conferences in order to maintain awareness of policies, procedures and current greenhouse regulations, along with supervision and training techniques.
  • Comply with recognized professional standards of ethical conduct and maintain quality services.
  • Supervise all retail locations and ensure they are properly staffed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Criminal arrest check will be done through the OSBI; per Section 1025.1 et seq. of Title 56 of the Oklahoma statutes, House Bill 1790, any prospective employee with a felony or misdemeanor conviction, guilty plea or plea of nolo contendere will not be eligible for employment. This prohibition may be disregarded if an appropriate waiver is obtained from the Office of the Director, DDSD, Department of Human Services, or his/her designees.
