Production Manager, Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary
The 3rd Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nightly operations of the rubber compression and transfer molding press line. This role ensures production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and efficiency targets are met while leading and supporting a small manufacturing team. The successful candidate will provide hands‑on leadership, maintain ISO quality compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate activities of production employees on rubber compression and transfer molding press lines
Lead, direct, and motivate a small manufacturing crew to meet daily production schedules
Monitor machine performance, workflow, and staffing to ensure optimal efficiency
Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and company quality procedures
Inspect products to verify adherence to specifications and quality requirements
Troubleshoot molding processes, equipment, and material issues as needed
Maintain accurate production, scrap, and downtime records
Enforce safety policies and promote a safe working environment
Train and develop employees in molding processes, quality standards, and company procedures
Communicate effectively with other shifts, maintenance, and management to ensure smooth operational transitions
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Required:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience directing small manufacturing crews
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work third shift hours consistently
Working knowledge of production processes and safety standards
Preferred:
2–3 years of experience in compression, transfer, and/or injection molding
Experience supervising rubber molding operations
Knowledge of ISO quality systems
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Frequent walking, bending, and reaching
Exposure to manufacturing environment conditions (heat, noise, moving equipment)
3rd shift (11:30 pm to 8:00 am)
