Contract Role
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $23–$30/hr (DOE)
We are seeking a skilled Manual Soldering and Rework Technician to perform precision manual desoldering and soldering of surface-mount components (0805 size) on electronic assemblies. This is a repair-focused role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent soldering technique, and the ability to work independently.
What You’ll Do- Perform manual rework and repair of SMD components on PCBs
- Remove and replace 0805 components using hand soldering techniques
- Inspect completed work for quality, ensuring proper solder joints and functionality
- Work from repair tickets, schematics, and inspection notes
- Maintain documentation and keep accurate repair records
- Support quality and production teams to meet turnaround goals
- Proven experience with manual SMD soldering and desoldering (0805 required)
- Strong hand-eye coordination and steady hands
- Ability to work under microscope/ magnification tools
- Familiarity with PCB handling and ESD-safe practices
- Comfortable working in a repair environment with tight tolerances
