Position: DONOR ROOM PHLEBOTOMIST (BROKEN ARROW, OK)

Overview

PAID WORLD CLASS TRAINING.
BONUS PAID AT 6 MONTHS, 1 YEAR AND 3 YEARS TOTALING $3,000. Our Blood Institute is actively seeking qualified candidates for a rewarding position with a proven track record of successful reliability that is responsible for providing a safe and pleasant blood donation experience for donors.

Pay and Benefits

Pay:
Competitive pay based on experience; additional pay for technical school certification, associate degree, bachelor’s degrees, etc.; additional pay if fluent in Spanish. World class paid on-the-job training; $500 bonus after 6 months and $1,000 bonus after 1 year. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, 401(k), paid time off, $5,000 annual tuition reimbursement, annual uniform allowance, etc.

Days and Hours

Varied based on when blood drives are scheduled.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform registration, vitals, medical screening, phlebotomy, heat sealing duties and record keeping duties associated with whole-blood, autologous, directed, therapeutic, testing services, research projects, etc.
  • Strictly adhere to all standard operating procedures ensuring all blood products are collected within the quality standards set forth by regulatory agencies including the FDA.
  • Assist supervisor in verifying and completing daily paperwork.
  • Alert the Supervisor of any problems or concerns when issues arise related to equipment, venipuncture, donor questions/issues or equipment performance.
  • Continually assess donor needs throughout the donation process, including evaluating and treating donor reactions.
  • Educate donors on blood facts such as donation frequency and the need for blood products.
  • All other duties assigned by supervisor.
