Driver​/Warehouse Worker

Summary

The Pro Group is a leader in the construction supply and equipment rental industry and is looking for a hybrid driver/warehouse worker. Drive a light vehicle, such as a truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise. Loading and unloading vehicle of packages up to 100lbs. A current medical examination card is required.

Work in the warehouse picking and pulling items. Operation of pallet jacks. Working with warehouse manager on daily tasks inside the warehouse. Great opportunity to work for a growing company. Maintain a safe, clean & organized work area.

• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
• Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
• Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
• Drive vehicles with capacities under 26,000 pounds to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
• Help with warehouse inventory, put away, pick products for orders.
• Organize show room and warehouse areas.
• Keep the workplace clean and products in their designated locations.

• Valid drivers license

• Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation
• Maintain vehicles in good working condition
• Report vehicle or equipment malfunctions
• Load shipments and materials
• Record details of deliveries or shipments
• Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments
• Notify others of emergencies, problems, or hazards
• Operate vehicles or material-moving equipment

• Osha fork lift license.
• Massachusetts hoisting licenses.
• Experience working in a warehouse.
