Description
As a Field Manager/Installer, you will oversee field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will coordinate crews, support project timelines, and install interior and small exterior signage. We are looking for a dependable leader who takes pride in their work, enjoys both managing projects and working in the field, and thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
EssentialResponsibilities And Duties
- Oversee planning, organization, scheduling and implementation of installation projects
- Communicate daily and work cooperatively with installers, installation manager and project manager to ensure efficient installation
- Meet with installation teams each morning to review daily work and schedule
- Assist with expediting and preparing the job for successful installation
- Coordinate with on-site contractors and sub-contractors
- Track and maintain records of all jobs through internal production software
- Communicate professionally with clients via phone and email
- Provide timely communication and follow-ups
- Attend weekly team, project kickoff, and postmortem meetings as requested
- Present current and upcoming jobs in weekly production meeting
- Install interior and exterior signage according to work order specifications and project deadlines

Professional QualificationsExperience in project management or construction environment (2+ years)
Knowledge of the technical, administrative, and management aspects of project management
Knowledge of customer service practices and functions
Knowledge of public safety and security regulations
Work Quality & Problem Solving- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality workmanship
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining timelines and quality standards
- Ability to assess challenges and develop safe, effective solutions on-site
- Effective communication with other team members and clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project goals
- Willingness to take direction, learn new techniques, and share knowledge with others
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Proficient in the safe operation of power tools, lifts, ladders, and other equipment
- Accurate measuring, leveling, and alignment skills with strong basic math abilities
- Working knowledge of hardware, fasteners, and mounting techniques for various substrates
- Reliable, flexible, and professional in attitude, communication, and appearance
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight as needed
- Ability to lift, carry, and position heavy materials and signs with or without assistance
- Comfortable working at heights (ladder, bucket truck, aerial equipment) and in various outdoor conditions
- Consistent adherence to safety protocols and use of proper PPE
- High school diploma, trade school certificate, or GED
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Valid Driver License
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the sign industry
- Hands-on experience with installation of interior and exterior signage or related trade
- Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Calculate figures and amounts using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and geometry.
- May also be exposed to loud noises, dust, and fumes from the manufacturing plant.
- Candidates offered a position with Sign Design are required to undergo a background screening.
- Candidates offered a position with physical requirements may need to pass a position-appropriate Fit for Duty exam which will be scheduled and paid for by Sign Design.
- Candidates who operate equipment or vehicles may be subject to pre-employment and random drug screenings.
- If not already obtained, employee must obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Card within 30 days of hire.
