Assistant House Manager
WORK Inc., one of New England’s most progressive providers of services to adults with disabilities, is seeking an Assistant House Manager to support individuals served in their own home, promoting independence while enhancing their quality of life.
Location:
Brockton, MA
Pay: $25.00/hour
- Assisting in the development of maximum independence, responsibility and self‑worth.
- Integrating quality‑life ideals into daily management and program development.
- Preparing and implementing program goals, individuals’ service plans, progress reports and treatment plans.
- Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers.
- Providing appropriate healthcare, medical, and dental needs, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
- Creating a climate for motivation and establishing supportive working relationships.
- Maintaining case records and program reports.
- Supervising and assigning duties to direct‑care staff when the house manager is unavailable.
- Carrying the emergency cell phone and attending to program emergencies on short notice when the house manager is unavailable.
- Attending administrative and clinical team meetings in the absence of the house manager.
- Training and orienting new employees to the residential program.
- Addressing and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
- Performing other administrative and managerial duties as assigned by management.

- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma and computer skills.
- Related college degree and/or minimum of one plus years’ experience.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus.
