DescriptionPosition Summary
As the Branch Manager for Granite City Electric Supply in Brockton, MA you will manage the overall operation of the store in accordance with Company policies and procedures. You will ensure high levels of customer service satisfaction and that customers receive value‑add services in a timely and professional manner. In addition, you will create a competitive advantage and be held accountable for the financial performance of the branch.
EssentialFunctions
- Proactively manage and develop accounts in the area to maximize sales.
- Train, supervise and coach employees in products, procedures and selling skills and facilitate development of their potential.
- Delegate and assign duties as necessary for the smooth and efficient running of the facility/general maintenance.
- Responsible for inventory control.
- Keep employees informed and up to date about the Company, product and code changes, local trends and the economic situations that affect the industry.
- Provide customer quotations and product information as requested.
- Promote teamwork and interdepartmental cooperation.
- Analyze situations, identify problems, evaluate alternative courses of action.
- Demonstrate emphasis on improving quality of staff and systems.
- Give and receive feedback and evaluation as an improvement tool.
- Set measurable goals and evaluate achievement of those goals.
- Have P & L responsibility.
- A minimum of three years in a sales/supervisory capacity is a must, preferably at an electrical distributor.
- Business, construction and/or electrical industry exposure is a must.
- Be flexible and adaptable to business needs and conditions.
- Possess and demonstrate effective leadership skills.
- Have a passion to continually improve processes and relationships.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to use an ERP.
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent proven experience is required for the position.
