Maintenance​/Production Mechanic

Position

Maintenance/Production Mechanic (all shifts)

• Maintain and troubleshoot high‑speed PC‑based production machinery that processes mail
• Create and perform, or subcontract, a preventative machinery maintenance program
• Ensure all equipment operates at its highest level of efficiency
• Maintain inventory of machine parts
• Negotiate with outside vendors to minimize costs
• Perform minor physical plant maintenance duties where feasible
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Act as the company’s Safety Officer
• Maintain compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures

• Electro‑mechanical background helpful
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to complete assignments within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• High school diploma or GED required;
  Trade School Associate degree preferred

• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone and in person

$35‑$65K depending on experience.
