Position Summary

As a pivotal team member, you will contribute to preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals, including simple compound preparations. You will assist with inventory control and compliance audits, ensuring our pharmacy runs smoothly. You will provide exceptional customer service and maintain important pharmacy records, working directly with our Manager and Pharmacist to deliver top-notch, patient-focused specialty pharmacy services. You are self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a commitment to creating a healthy work environment.

Location and Schedule

This position is on-site at our client partner, Signature Healthcare, located in Brockton, MA. It is a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturday shifts. The weekly schedule may include 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and Saturday shifts (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM) are required every other weekend.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties
  • You excel in providing the highest level of customer service, including answering calls or greeting patients in person.
  • Assist with medication preparation and ensure proper handling.
  • Prepare products for use, including packaging, repacking, compounding, barcoding, or other necessary manipulation.
  • Ensure medication preparation complies with laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and client policies; participate in double-checks for all preparations.
  • Deliver products to patient care areas while maintaining integrity, security, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain proficiency with technology such as automated dispensing machines, robotics, barcoding systems, computer applications, and other pharmacy solutions.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards.
  • Stay updated on department and organizational policies and procedures and ensure adherence.
  • Help with inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and replenishment of stock.
  • Receive products from wholesalers/direct shipments and stock them according to storage requirements and policy.
  • Check products for use-by dates and suitability; follow department leadership processes.
  • Monitor and replenish stock, and communicate ordering needs to Pharmacists and purchasers per procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working area to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in performance or quality improvement initiatives and contribute to project ideas and execution.
  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to performance and quality improvement.
Education
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required; higher education preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Must be Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Board of Pharmacy in the state where Clearway Health operates prior to start date or per state requirements where registration is valid upon employment.
  • Active National Certification verified by PTCB or ExCPT is preferred.
Experience
  • 1+ years of pharmacy-related experience required.
  • 2+ years preferred.
