Mentor South Bay has delivered Early Intervention, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Behavioral Health and Mental Health Outpatient services in Massachusetts and Connecticut for over 35 years. We are dedicated to helping children, adults, and families reach their fullest potential.
Position DetailsAs a Behavior Management Monitor, you will provide community‑based behavioral therapeutic services to youth and families. The role is supervised by a Behavior Management Therapist and a qualified Clinician. Work hours are Monday to Friday, during the day and after school. The position includes a $6,000 new‑hire bonus and an annual salary of $45,000 plus overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities- Provide in‑home behavioral services to identified youth and families within a given catchment area.
- Collaborate with a Masters‑level Behavior Management Therapist to implement therapeutic objectives of treatment plans.
- Monitor progress of functional behavioral assessments (FBAs).
- Teach youth to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses to situations.
- Improve interaction patterns with youth and families to enhance problem‑solving, limit‑setting, safety planning, communication, and skill‑building.
- Provide skills training and demonstrate application to youth and families.
- Identify and utilize community resources for youth and families.
- Keep clinician and/or supervisor informed of progress on behavioral changes.
- Adhere to recommendations from clinician and/or supervisor.
- Complete documentation on schedule and maintain compliance with electronic health record requirements, including billing.
- Follow company policies, codes of conduct, administrative directives, and therapy guidelines.
- Report all incidents as required by M.G.L Chapter 119, Section 51A (Mandated Reporter) and complete MENTORs crisis reporting protocol.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards and regulations.
- Be responsible for transporting persons served.
- Associate’s degree in a human service field from an accredited university and minimum of 3 years of behavioral experience working with children, adolescents, or transition‑age youth.
- OR a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field from an accredited university and minimum of 1 year of behavioral experience with the same populations.
- Willingness to work some mornings, afternoons, and early evenings/after‑school hours.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
