Under the general supervision of the Director of Quality Resources, the Surgical Services Quality Manager collaborates with members of the Surgical and Anesthesia departments to design, develop and implement tools for measuring and benchmarking organizational performance in the areas of clinical outcomes, external reporting, and compliance with local, state, and federal standards.

• Collect and submit data to external surgical quality databases as assigned.
• Capture data through high-quality clinical screening of surgical cases from multiple service lines.
• Serve as the third member of the surgical Triad team, working closely with the Chief and Nursing Leadership for the Operating Room to maintain quality care in the acute care setting.
• Integrate quality care across service lines through the organization’s Culture of Safety and care delivery model.
• Work with Service Chiefs to establish key metrics that enhance surgical management and drive continuous improvements in patient outcomes, including reducing unexpected outcomes.
