High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to prevent and treat substance use and mental health disorders. High Point has programs located throughout Southeast Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness.

Masters Level Clinician Requirements
  • Present as courteous and professional at all times
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas logically and clearly
  • Ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner
  • TB screening
  • Certification in the HPTC approved de-escalation program
  • Strong and effective verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills and software proficiency including ability to, use, and train on HPTC electronic medical records
  • Ability to provide leadership and program development within an outpatient site
  • Knowledge of major clinical therapeutic models and behavioral health best practices
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Masters Level Clinician Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain and submit any current licensure or certificate necessary for the performance of the position
  • Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy, and HIPAA Regulations
  • Participate in Treatment Team Meetings
  • Crisis intervention and screening for patients at risk
  • Maintain assigned caseload
  • Provide direct care to patients, including assessments of new patients, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily progress notes, daily groups, group note completion, and completion of biopsychosocial assessments
  • Ensure all records are professional, complete, and thorough, with entries made in a timely mannerli>
  • Provide direct care including individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for new patients, discharge and aftercare planning, and case management of assigned patients
  • Link patients with aftercare services prior to discharge and assist patients and families in accessing outpatient services when appropriate
  • Attend all unit and facility meetings and case conferences as directed by the Clinical Director; attend mandatory trainings
  • Contact insurance companies for authorization as needed
  • Utilize standard precautions at all times
  • Demonstrate behaviors that recognize patients’ rights as defined by the patient rights®
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, or Assistant Program Director
Masters Level Clinician Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Human Services related field such as psychology or social work
  • Independently licensed Behavioral Health Clinician, including LICSW/ LMHC/ LMFT/ LADC1li>
  • Licensed Master Clinician (eligible encouraged)
