Position Overview
A well-established healthcare system located just 20 miles south of Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Orthopedic team
. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while working closely with orthopedic surgeons, residents, nursing staff, and rehabilitation professionals.
- Conduct comprehensive orthopedic evaluations, including patient histories and physical examinations
- Assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room
- Manage pre- and post-operative care, including inpatient rounding and discharge planning
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and laboratory tests
- Perform in-office and inpatient procedures, including joint injections, splinting, casting, and wound care
- Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences and patient education initiatives
- Share call responsibilities with the physician and PA team
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Prior orthopedic, surgical, or hospital-based experience preferred
- New graduates with a strong interest in orthopedics will be considered
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
