Position: Consultant Ecologist
Location: Bristol
Salary: £28,000-£35,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Our client, a respected and forward‑thinking property and land consultancy, is seeking a talented Consultant Ecologist to join their Bristol team. With a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality advice and services across the utilities, infrastructure, and environmental sectors, they are committed to fostering a collaborative culture where people are empowered to excel.
About the RoleAs a Consultant Ecologist, you will:
- Deliver ecological surveys, assessments, and reports for a range of projects, including infrastructure and development schemes.
- Provide ecological advice to support planning applications, environmental compliance, and mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure high‑quality ecological input.
- Contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects that have a positive impact on the environment and communities.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in ecological consultancy or environmental assessment.
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, protected species, and habitat management.
- Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
- A proactive, solution‑focused approach to ecological challenges.
Professional accreditation (such as CIEEM) is desirable but not essential; our client welcomes applications from those working towards qualification or with equivalent experience.
