In this newly created post, you will have the opportunity to work across all key areas of the Trauma & Orthopaedic speciality, rotating between Bristol and Weston sites - including older person s trauma, elective orthopaedics, major trauma and limb reconstruction. This is an exciting opportunity to delve into the T&O speciality and develop your skill and expertise in this pathway.

Main duties of the jobYou will be part of an integrated team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Technicians who work closely together on a day to day basis allowing plenty of opportunity for informal learning and peer support.
You will have protected and regular clinical supervision from your allocated mentor, but also be well supported informally on a day to day basis by our senior leads team.

Person Specification Knowledge and Experience 1- Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and/or multidisciplinary team
- Experience of working within the T+O Pathway
- Contributing to clinical education/supervision of less experienced staff, students or nonregistered staff
- Experience of discharge planning
- Evidence of previous experience & participation in audit
- Previous experience at Band 6

- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to plan, prioritise & delegate

- Ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure
- Ability to effect & manage change
- Leadership Skills
- A variety of experience in core areas as a postgraduate physiotherapist e.g. Care of the Elderly, MSK, respiratory & neurological, dealing with a wide range of patients with differing needs
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Health Professions Council registered
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Involvement in Relevant Special Clinical Interest Groups

- Ability to effectively perform patient assessments & interventions, including manual therapy & therapeutic handling
