You can be based in any of the following offices:
Bristol, Cambridge, Exeter, Glasgow, Manchester, Oxford and Peterborough with flexible working arrangements available.
Opportunities are available across Consultant, Senior and Principal levels. Responsibilities will vary depending on experience, but may include:
- Preparing and leading Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)
- Applying GLVIA3 and relevant Landscape Institute Technical Guidance Notes
- Undertaking landscape character assessments and Green Belt assessments
- Contributing to residential visual amenity assessments and landscape value appraisals
- Supporting planning applications across various UK consenting regimes
- Advising on designated landscapes and environmental constraints
- Working closely within multidisciplinary teams
- Managing projects and client relationships (Senior/Principal level)
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members (Senior/Principal level)
At Consultant level:
- Experience in landscape planning work, ideally including LVIA exposure
- Understanding of the UK planning system
- Strong written communication skills
- Consultancy experience preferred (2-4 years ideal, but strong junior candidates considered)
- GIS, graphics software and/or AutoCAD experience desirable
At Senior / Principal level:
- Degree in Landscape Architecture and CMLI accreditation
- Proven experience leading and authoring LVIAs
- Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and policy
- Experience working in multidisciplinary consultancy teams
- Confidence managing projects and clients
- GIS skills desirable
- Expert witness experience advantageous
