An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an Associate Structural Engineer to join a growing, design-led civil and structural engineering consultancy in their Bristol office

This is a senior leadership role for a chartered engineer who wants more than just project delivery. You’ll play a key role in client relationships, business development and team growth
, with the platform to shape your own team within an established and busy office of around 12 professionals

The consultancy delivers high-quality commercial and residential projects and operates with a boutique mindset — selective clients, bespoke solutions and strong technical standards — without the bureaucracy of a corporate giant.
The RoleAs Associate Structural Engineer
, you will combine technical leadership with client-facing and commercial responsibilities, helping drive both project delivery and the strategic growth of the Bristol office.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and delivering commercial and residential structural engineering projects
- Acting as a key client contact and trusted technical advisor
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development and winning repeat work
- Mentoring, managing and growing a team of structural engineers
- Overseeing technical quality, consistency and design standards
- Working collaboratively with architects and the wider design team
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the Bristol office

About YouWe are seeking a confident, commercially aware Chartered Structural Engineer who brings:
- Chartered status (MIStruct
E or MICE) - Strong experience delivering commercial and residential projects
- Proven client-facing ability and relationship management experience
- Demonstrable business development and work-winning capability
- Leadership experience or a clear desire to grow and manage a team
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder skills
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
This is a consultancy that genuinely rewards leadership, trust and performance:
