Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm

M&M Supply are working in partnership with a school in Bristol to recruit a Pastoral Support Officer for approximately 8 weeks of cover starting mid-February. This is a full-time, term-time role supporting students' wellbeing, attendance, and safeguarding within a secondary school environment. This particular position is ideal for experienced pastoral staff, behaviour mentors, attendance officers, or professionals with a background in student support, youth work, or education welfare.

A full UK driving licence, business insurance and access to a vehicle is essential to support home visits. (If the role duration isn't suited to you, but you are looking for a Pastoral Role, please apply as we have several different school options where we can make an introduction)

• Assisting with home visits alongside school staff
• Carrying out site duties during lesson times to ensure students are not truanting
• Supervising students during break and lunch times
• Monitoring and administering attendance marks accurately
• Supporting students within the pastoral office
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, including reporting concerns or incidents in line with school policy
• Acting as a positive role model and supporting students' emotional and behavioural needs

• Experience working in a pastoral, behaviour, attendance or student support role
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Calm, professional and proactive approach
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
