Buyer Analyst

Electro-Mechanical, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Buyer Analyst to join our Bristol, VA facility, supporting our OEM Products Division. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring materials in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure uninterrupted production and customer fulfillment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing supplier performance, and supporting cost reduction initiatives across the organization.

• Compile and analyze data to issue purchase orders and blanket purchase agreements with approved suppliers, ensuring predetermined pricing, freight terms, and annual reviews are in place.
• Utilize ERP systems (Quantum Program) to manage blanket order releases and track purchase order commitments.
• Analyze MRP reports and Open PO Commitments to ensure materials are ordered on time, preventing stock-outs while maintaining inventory within annual budget targets.
• Monitor supplier lead times and adjust, reschedule, expedite, or cancel orders as operational needs change.
• Partner with Receiving and Quality to resolve discrepancies, nonconformance reports, and supplier-related issues.
• Contribute to cost savings initiatives in alignment with departmental and corporate goals.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication and performance evaluations, including bi-annual supplier scorecards.
• Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 procedures, ensuring compliance within all purchasing activities.
• Assist with physical inventory counts, data cleanup projects, and continuous improvement efforts within the purchasing function.
• Communicate daily with Production Control, Area Managers, Engineers, and Operations to ensure proper focus on material availability and shortage mitigation.

• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret MRP reports, pricing structures, and supplier performance data.
• Experience managing blanket purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and inventory optimization strategies.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and structured purchasing procedures is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and externally with suppliers.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

This role directly impacts the company’s ability to meet production schedules and fulfill customer orders. The Buyer Analyst serves as a key link between suppliers and internal operations, ensuring materials are available, cost-effective, and compliant with company and corporate purchasing policies.

• Regular interaction with Suppliers, Production Control, Engineering, Operations Managers, Quality, and Corporate Purchasing.
• Occasional travel to U.S.
